Random Thoughts

I don't have any pictures to post but just some random things I want to remember.   I am 33 weeks pregnant - only 7 weeks to go.  Crazy!  Things are going well and she seems to be growing right on schedule.  I have an ultrasound in two weeks that the kids are going to be able to see - I think they will like that.  They are just rechecking the placement of the placenta.  The pregnancy as a whole has gone much faster but the last three weeks seem to have taken much longer.  In conclusion I have realized that no matter what you do, the thrid trimester of pregnancy still seems to drag on and on and on !!!  However, I am not actually ready for the baby to be here yet - just tired of being pregnant.
The kids are almost finished with school - they get out June 10 when the rest of my family will be at Lagoon.  Unless they change the school schedule around here (not likely) it looks like their last day of school will fall on Lagoon in June every year.  Might have to skip school sometime to make it to the reunion!
It still rains here almost everyday.  The sun has come out a few times but the rivers and lakes are flooding and staying really cold.  The lake water temperature is only 51 degrees right now.  I hope it warms up soon so the kids can go swimming sometime this summer!
Markell came to visit us on Monday and I got to hold a beautiful baby boy!  Archie is so cute and cuddly.  The kids couldn't get enough of him.  He is one month old now!  Kaydra was just content to sit and hold him all day long - she would have if I'd let her.  She will be a big help with the new baby - I can't believe it's been 10 years since the summer I was getting ready to have her!  Time sure flies!  She also kindly reminded us this week that when the baby is her age, Kaydra will be 20.  Wow!  What a perspective that gives me!  Our time with these kids is just too short!

One more thing. Yesterday Leonard found some top soil that was a good price - FREE!  He just had to rent a trailer to get it to our house.  He also had to get the tractor to the site so he could load it up.  Another family got word that he was doing that and they brought a trailer for him to load as well.  He spent the day loading and unloading dirt and working on the tractor.  When I say he spent the day, I mean he was up at 6:00 a.m. and he crawled into bed just before midnight!  He would have been finished earlier but he managed to get the truck and trailer stuck in our field when he was unloading some rocks at about 9:00 at night.  Then a neighbor came over with his truck and it got stuck too.  Then they got the same neighbors tractor and it was able to pull out both trucks and the trailer at around 10:30.  Then Len still had to take the (borrowed) truck and (rented) trailer back to the dirt site to bring back our tractor and wash off both vehicles so they could be returned this morning at 7:00 by his dad.  His dad had to take them back because Leonard had to be to work at 7:00 am today.  It makes me tired just typing the whole thing!  On the bright side, we have topsoil for our lawn we plan to put in this summer!
I spent the day in class at work, came home, made dinner, and went to mutual.  I had all my Miamaids there for our class activity except one.  Pretty amazing.  The one girl is not active at all.  If only they had ALL been there - looks like we know where to start working!
