Kaydra’s Birthday
Kaydra turned 13 this year!! How did I become the mother of a teenager? She is so beautiful and amazing. I feel lucky to be her mom. This year she wanted to make her own cake. She gave me a list of the supplies she would need and then she did everything else. I think it turned out awesome….AND it was delicious, too!!
Kaydra got a phone for her birthday. She has been wanting one for awhile – and she actually got it a month early, so she didn’t have much to open. We still got lots of pictures though!
Notice the babies heading for the “off-limits” stairs while no one is looking! There is now a gate up – sneaking babies!
She also wanted to go parasailing! So we gave her a voucher to go with me! It was awesome! We didn’t take pictures, but they took some for us. And their camera was awesome!
I am so glad she wanted to do this! I have wanted to do this since we moved here and it was awesome. I am glad I got to do it with her! Love you Kaydra! Happy Birthday!

A Day at the Fair
My kids really wanted to go to the fair this year. We usually go in the evening and spend a couple hours…mostly eating food…then see the animals, go on a ride or two and then head home. This year, the kids had earned some money from the neighbors and they wanted to buy ride passes. I thought we might as well get our money’s worth. So I braved the fair all day with all five of my kiddos. They were GREAT and we had a wonderful time. We saw quite a few shows (our favorite was the Wild West Shootout, Lady Houdini, and the Lupe Rollins – the ropin’ cowboy. Shylee loved being outside and pushed in her stroller. She was really good. The big kids rode as many rides as they could stand, and even Timberlyn had a great time on the little kids rides. We put her on the little roller coaster with Miranda but they had to stop it for her because she was screaming. After that she was a little more timid about the rides. That was the only one she cried on though. She liked the rest of them. We had yummy food, good weather, and a fun time. We got there about 11:00 am and we left as they were shooting off fireworks around 8:00 pm. Don’t get me wrong – this little fair still doesn’t compare to the Blackfoot fair, but we managed to have a good time anyway! I think I might even be brave enough to do it again next year.

Beck’s Visit
The first night they got here we just let the kids play. It was fun to have the Becks in our house. The next day we took them huckleberry picking and then on the river for a short float. We started at the rope swing so for the first time, I could video the kids on the swing. I even did it! Usually by the time we get to the swing, I have a kid on my lap and it seems like too much work to climb the rocks to the swing. I took a video and I will try to post it, but no promises.
The kids had a blast.
While they were here we took them to the park, to the famous candy store (Mrs. Honeypeeps) and of course, to the lake!
