Kaydra’s 12th Birthday

Seems like we have a lot of birthday posts lately!  We have a lot of birthdays in the summer in our family!  Kaydra turned 12 this year.  I can hardly believe that this little squirmy girl came into our lives 12 years ago.  She has truly blessed our lives.  I remember her dad being so enamored with her.  He has thought she was the most beautiful thing since the day she was born.  scan0001

She changed our lives and made them so much better.  I am so blessed to be her mom.  She has so many changes this year.  Starting 7th grade, starting volleyball, new baby sister on the way, starting young womens at church.  I get excited thinking about all the opportunities she has.  She is so responsible and I LOVE that I can count on her so many things.  I don’t think I could have made it through this pregnancy without her.  We were so excited to celebrate her 12th birthday!

I let her pick what dessert she wanted to have for her birthday.  She decided to try a repeat of dad’s birthday with some chocolate cupcakes and a huckleberry cheesecake (I told you it would be a family favorite).  I didn’t cook the cheesecake quite as long as last time, and it turned out better – if that was possible.  So YUMMY!!

Jackson and Chelsea get hitched!

We were able to travel to Idaho Falls for about a week to see Jackson marry Chelsea Spiers.  It was so great to see so many family and friends and to see Jackson and Chelsea get married.  The first and only time I met Chelsea prior to this was when she was witness to Timberlyn throwing up in a restaurant and I had to leave early…And she still married him.  I think that says something about her!  We are so excited for them and for their new adventure.

What a crew she has joined.  All 14 nieces and nephews!

It was also the first time that I have been in the temple with all my brothers and sisters and their spouses, along with my parents, at the same time.  What a blessing – Thank you for that, Jackson and Chelsea.

It was a wonderful time.  I got to visit with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends that I haven’t seen in a long time.  The day was beautiful and we are so happy for them.

We were also able to spend time with family after the wedding.  We managed to make a trip to the reservoir to go boating and play, play, play with cousins.  What a fun week.   Thank you to everyone who let us stay with them and who took the time to make our stay awesome.  Congratulations Jackson and Chelsea!
